We - the soap makers at Perfect Coconut - are a group of young women who started our own soap making business in 2005 after our participation at CTID's training program. Our group's name Perfect Coconut refers to the local coconut oil which is part of our soap making. One of the other main ingredients is silk, which provides a smooth texture and we also get it locally from a silk worm farm nearby. Further ingredients are caustic soda, water and a bit of palm oil and for our scented soaps we get essential oils from Australia. The soap making process takes us up to three weeks before we package and label each bar of soap.

Thanks to our growing experience in handmade soap manufacturing we have been able to expand our range to include a great variety of different fragrances using a lot of natural ingredients and essential oils for some of our products.  That's why every soap has its own very special and individual smell and of course a particular and unique impact on the skin. Depending on people's needs we provide, as well as lovely smelling soaps for enhancing beauty, special soaps to help in the management of sensitive or itchy skin.

A lot of people already trust our handmade product so we are proud to be able to successfully sell our soap in different stores and supermarkets all around Timor Leste, export it to Australia, Hong-Kong and Germany and promote it in several other places all over the world such as Singapore and Italy.
